Everyone knows how important it is to get their vitamins and minerals. Those who don’t eat right might experience a host of symptoms. These symptoms are usually mistaken for an underlying illness. However, those symptoms happen due to a lack of vitamins or minerals. This makes sense, considering the many roles vitamins and minerals play. The following possible symptoms could point out which vitamin or mineral you need more of.
Tired
Got excellent sleep, but still tired? Vitamin B12 might be to blame. This vitamin helps your body produce red blood cells. Vitamin B12 is found in meat and bugs (eww!).
Irregular Heartbeat
Electrolytes are composed of sodium, magnesium, potassium, and calcium. Having too little or an imbalance of these electrolytes can be the reason behind irregular heartbeats. Calcium can be found in eggshells (that’s edible?) while magnesium and potassium are found in dried coconut meat. Sodium is usually found in fast food (fast food can be healthy!).
Diarrhea
Niacin or vitamin B3 helps the body burn energy. A lack of vitamin B3 can cause diarrhea. Niacin can be found in milk.
